Jacksonville, FL — The St. Johns County Public Library System says its Bartram Trail Branch Library will be closed beginning March 8, 2021, for a construction project.
According to the SJCPLS, the library will need to undergo a roof replacement as the roof is over 20-years-old. As this impacts the entire building, we’re told that the branch and parking lot will both need to be closed.
The entire project will take about 7-weeks, with an expected reopening in late April 2021.
“Bartram Trail Library staff understand this temporary closure will inconvenience patrons during an already unprecedented time, but we are happy to offer a curbside service for holds pickup. If you need assistance, please give us a call, and staff will help you find the perfect book or movie. When the library reopens in April of 2021, it will be with a beautiful new roof to protect us during the upcoming rainy months. Please let us know how we can help you until we are all together again at the library,” says Maribeth Beck, Bartram Trail Branch Manager, in a statement.
During this time, the branch will be opening an annex location for curbside hold pick-up only. This will be at the St. Johns County Tax Collector’s Office at 725 Flora Branch Boulevard.
Beginning Wednesday, March 16, the annex hours will be:
- Tuesday–Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Saturday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
