Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says a three-year-old boy is in critical condition, after nearly drowning.
JSO was called to Whispering Inlet Drive in reference to an unresponsive child in a pool. We’re told a woman performed CPR on the child until rescue arrived, and then the child was taken to the hospital.
Sergeant Jason Williams says family was present, including the child’s parents and grandfather. There were also other young children present. At this time, JSO says they do not know the circumstances for how the child wound up in the pool and how the child was ultimately found.
There is no foul play suspected, but JSO’s Homicide Unit is investigating. The family is cooperating with that investigation.
