Why did you decide to run for office: I believe that the people of Jacksonville deserve politicians who will level with them and make decisions that are best for our great city, even if those decisions are not politically expedient.

What is the biggest problem facing Jacksonville as a city overall, and how specifically would seek to address that: Crime continues to be an issue and a task force will not solve this. We need a dedicated source of funds that will help us with crime prevention and intervention. This shall include after-school programs and a massive rehabilitation of our schools as community hubs so that kids have a safe space to go to.

What makes your constituents unique, and how would that influence your time in office: The people of district four care a great deal about our community. As a largely middle class, suburban community we sometimes get lost in the shuffle. We would like to make our community safer and more walkable.

What would be your main budget priority for the upcoming fiscal year: My main priority would be to develop a funding source for intervention programs to keep young man and women from choosing to commit crimes.

How do you define what you hope Jacksonville will be ten years from now: Ten year from now I hope that Jacksonville becomes a model of what happens when a community decides to invest in its people and that we are a unique city that has more local owned business that can be enjoyed by tourists.
