"Setting up a new Roku is really easy but a lot of times when someone gets a new Roku they're confused."
Clark says this leads people to google how to set up their device but it’s a step in the wrong direction. Criminals are setting up fake websites posing to be Roku Customer Service with phony phone numbers. They will then charge the person to help set up their device.
When it comes to setting up your Roku device – Clark says keep your credit card information to yourself because setting up your device is free. The only online link that allows you to activate your Roku service is www.Roku.com/link.
