Consumer Warrior Clark Howard: Use your Christmas gift cards soon

Jacksonville FL — If you need to go shopping ahead of the big game on Sunday, make sure you use a gift card to buy at least a portion of the things you need. Consumer Warrior Clark Howard says he’s never seen as much gift card fraud during the Christmas season as he has this year. He says criminals have been able to crack into gift card systems, wait for one to become active, and then take off with the money.

“Really important right now to get those gift cards you got for Christmas gifts and see if they’re still good.” Clark says.

Clark says to make sure you use those gift cards now before someone else takes your money.
