Coronavirus testing site in Green Cove Springs will be suspended in less than two weeks

Jacksonville FL — On Wednesday, Clay County Emergency Management announced that the community-based coronavirus testing at the Department of Health in Green Cove Springs will be suspended on December 22nd at 4 in the afternoon. We are working to learn what exactly lead up to this closure.

The county says residents have several options to get tested once the site closes. They say if you don’t have a primary care physician testing is available at urgent care centers and at CVS and Walgreens stores. If you’re uninsured, you can get tested at the Federally Qualified Health Centers including the Palms Medical Group in Orange Park and at the Aza Health locations in Green Cove Springs and Keystone Heights. We’re told Palms offers rapid testing, but clients are required to be registered and to make an appointment. You can also get tested for free at the Regency Square Mall.

Testing at the Department of Health in Green Cove Springs runs from 8AM until 4PM.
