Jacksonville, FL — The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is asking you to keep an eye out for a man they say is accused of a crash that claimed the lives of 3 people.
According to the sheriff's office, 45-year-old Eric Riters is wanted for three counts of vehicular homicide out of Orlando from the crash back in November 2002. According to the Florida Highway Patrol's Most Wanted Fugitive page, Riters was traveling 97 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone, when he hit a vehicle that was legally stopped. FHP says Riters was also legally intoxicated at the time.
Deputies tell us there was a Crime Stoppers tip about Riters being in the St. Augustine-area on Sunday, so they're putting out age-enhanced images of what he may look like now.
If you've seen Riters, you're urged to Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-8477 for a reward of up to $5,000 cash.
NOTE: While the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office spells his name Eric Ritters, the Florida Highway Patrol lists his name as Eric Riters.
