Jacksonville FL — On Wednesday, city leaders, along with representatives from the Jacksonville Icemen, announced more details about next month’s ECHL All-Star Classic at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena. The team says the event will get underway on January 16th with an All-Star Fan Fest at the arena from 2 PM until 8 PM. Then on the 17th will be the 2022 ECHL Hall of Fame Banquet, and then the big event, with the All-Star Classic at 7:30 PM.

Icemen President Bob Ohrablo says this event is an opportunity to show the hockey world that Jacksonville is a hockey town.

“We all know that. We got to show the hockey world that now”. Ohrablo says.

In addition to all the fanfare, the game will be broadcast nationally on the NHL Network and the format will be the ECHL All-Stars vs. the Icemen. We’re told a portion of the proceeds from this event will go towards the Kids Hope Alliance.
