Drive-thru coronavirus testing at Prime Obsborn Convention Center ending operations

Jacksonville, FL — The City of Jacksonville says the city sponsored drive-thru coronavirus testing site at the Prime Osborn Convention Center will be discontinuing operations effective May 20th.

The location was the first public site to offer testing across the greater Northeast Florida area and the City says since that time, dozens of private and public testing facilities have opened up. The City says more than 43,000 individuals in Duval County have been tested for coronavirus so far.

“Telescope Health and Baptist Health have demonstrated an invaluable commitment to the health and well-being of our citizens and community. We are grateful for their partnership and assistance launching the first testing site at the onset of this pandemic and we value the expertise they are continuing to provide to help stop the spread of COVID-19," says Mayor Lenny Curry in a statement.

The City says it will be opening new testing locations throughout the community in the coming weeks.

There are multiple other testing sites still in operation. Find the one closest to you, by clicking HERE.
