Shooting investigation ends in crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville police detained three suspects in relation to a shooting in the Bunker Hill area on Saturday.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office first responded to the area around 12:43 p.m. to investigate the shooting. They received information on the suspect’s vehicle — a white pickup truck.

The pickup truck was spotted at the 1100 block of Lake Forrest Blvd. where it was traveling at a high speed.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the pickup truck fled to Edgewood Avenue West where it collided with a Black Nissan at the 1600 block of Edgewood Avenue.

The driver of the Nissan was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police detained the three suspects inside the pickup truck — a 19-year-old woman and two men.

Police also described the pickup truck as stolen and found firearms inside.
