JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Easter is this Sunday, and there are plenty of fun ways to celebrate across Northeast Florida this weekend.
JaxParks is hosting its Riverfront Palooza at Riverfront Plaza on Saturday, April 4. This family-friendly spring festival features a massive community egg hunt with more than 15,000 eggs spread across five age groups. Guests are encouraged to bring their own baskets.
Egg Hunt Schedule:
- 10:00 a.m. & 12:00 p.m. - Ages 0-2
- 10:20 a.m. & 12:20 p.m. - Ages 3-4
- 10:45 a.m. & 12:45 p.m. - Ages 5-7
- 11:10 a.m. & 1:10 p.m. - Ages 8-10
- 11:30 a.m. & 1:35 p.m. - Ages 11-12
In addition to the egg hunts, you can enjoy puppet shows, live entertainment, face painting, food trucks, and photos with the Easter Bunny. The event is free and open to the pubic.
In St. Augustine, the St. Augustine Easter Parade returns for its 67th year on Saturday at 9 a.m. The parade begins at the Old Jail Museum on San Marco Avenue and will continue south on Avenida Menendez along the bay front, west on Cathedral Place, and north on Cordova Street, ending at the Visitors Center. Attendees can expect colorful floats, marching bands, dance groups, horses, and the Easter Bunny.
The Clay County Agricultural Fair kicks off today, celebrating 40 years. Running through April 12, the fair features concerts, contests, rides, and a wide variety of food, showcasing the county’s agricultural and community spirit.
