Jacksonville, FL — We are learning more about the injuries an elderly woman and her son sustained during what the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office describes as a ‘domestic incident’ in a Bartram Springs home.
Officers were called Sunday morning to a home on Green Pond Drive after Fire-Rescue had made forced entry during a well check. An 86-year-old woman was found with head trauma and was transported to Memorial Hospital.
A 52-year-old man had lacerations to his neck, left arm and abdomen, and was also transported to Memorial. Neither was able to answer any questions, according to a JSO incident report.
WOKV is not naming either individual as they are living victims of a crime and this is an active investigation.
According to the incident report, the man’s wife, who is out of state for work, said she hasn’t been able to contact her husband for a few days, leading to the well check.
