Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- This morning there are several heavy showers streaming onshore in northern St. Johns, Duval, Nassau, Camden, and Glynn Counties.
- Rain is briefly heavy, dropping a quick 0.10-0.25″.
- This activity will diminish later this morning as temperatures heat up into the upper 80s and low 90s today.
- Afternoon coverage of rain and storms will once again shift inland, well away from the coast today.
- Onshore winds will keep the rip current risk elevated at the beaches today, but the beaches will see a dry afternoon.
- Inland downpours will once again be very heavy and could drop a quick 1-2″+ of rain.
- The weather pattern over the next few days will be fairly similar, with an isolated morning shower and afternoon storms well inland.
- Coastal communities will not see much rain at all over the next week.

TROPICS:
- The remnants of Tropical Storm Dolly are bringing rain and wind to the Lesser Antilles and Puerto Rico today.
- There is a small window near the Bahamas next week where these remnants may try to re-organize, but odds of that happening are low.
- Weak low pressure in the central Gulf may also slowly develop as it drifts westward, away from our local area.
- The east Pacific continues to be very busy, typical of El Nino years.
