Full Jacksonville 2020 Host Committee Released

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville 2020 Host Committee released their list for who is serving on the committee to help bring the Republican National Convention to Jacksonville.

The list makes up 32 people, mainly political leaders, business presidents, and non-profit presidents.

The committee is in charge of privately fundraising for the convention in order to transform local venues into area that will be able to hold the thousands of people expected to attend.

The co-chairs of the committee will be Mayor Lenny Curry and Brian Ballard, the President of Ballard Partners. Ballard is a lobbyist with close ties to President Donald Trump and has previously worked on the John McCain 2008 campaign and the 2012 Mitt Romney campaign.

“Florida has long been an international destination for visitors from around the world and played host to premier events and conventions including Super Bowls and the 2012 Republican National Convention,” said Ballard. “Florida’s First Coast is no stranger to welcoming an international spotlight and I am honored to be part of this team.”
