Jacksonville — Governor Rick Scott has announced the appointments of Terrance Freeman (pictured above) and Ju’Coby Pittman (below) to the Jacksonville City Council, to replace two members who were suspended after being indicted on fraud and other charges.
Freeman will serve during the suspension of City Council Member Reginald Brown and Pittman will serve during the suspension of City Council Member Katrina Brown, both beginning Tuesday, July 10th.
Freeman, 43, of Jacksonville, is the regional director at Ygrene Energy Fund. He received a master’s degree in sports psychology from University of California Pennsylvania. He is appointed to the District 10 seat for the duration of Council Member Reginald Brown’s suspension.
Pittman, 54, of Jacksonville, is the President of Clara White Mission, Inc. She received a bachelor’s degree and honorary doctorate from Jones Business College. She is appointed to the District 8 seat for the duration of Council Member Katrina Brown’s suspension.
