A missing persons investigation leads Jacksonville police to a homemade firework.
JSO says this started Sunday night with the report of a missing person, who was spotted by an officer Monday. That person was pulled over around Beach and San Pablo, and then made statements about having some kind of explosive device, prompting police to call the Bomb Squad to the scene.
We’re told a “homemade firework” was found during the police search. The Bomb Squad will handle disposing of the device.
JSO wouldn’t provide any further details about the missing person’s investigation at this time, or whether there have been any arrests in this case.
