“We have three moms living under one roof and we all just help each other take care of our children,” Kristin Batykefer said.

It’s an emerging trend that helps single moms not only share the load but save money.

“We split things, we take our kids out together and we split stuff when we are taking our kids out together,” Baty said. “I actually fell into this.”

Then a couple of months later one of her best friends, another single mom, joined in.

“It’s just such a great support system,” Batykefer said.

Kristin explained that for this season of her life, a ‘mommune’ is the perfect arrangement.
