JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Beach City Attorney Chris Ambrosio was arrested this morning for allegedly molesting a teenager.

The Atlantic Beach Police Department charged the 48-year-old with lewd/lascivious molestation of a teen between 12 and 16 years-old and for the contribution in the delinquency of a child.

Ambrosio was booked into the Duval County pre-detention center at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday morning. He is currently not eligible for bond.

The City of Jacksonville Beach says that the City Administration and Council are aware of the arrest and cannot comment on the details of the case or the investigation.

The City Council of Jacksonville Beach will be holding a special meeting Thursday at 5 p.m. to discuss the arrest.

Ambrosio is the attorney to all Jacksonville Beach City Departments, including Beaches Energy Services, the City of Jacksonville Beach Police Department, and serves as General Counsel to the City Council and Boards. Ambrosio also previously served as Judicial Attorney for former Chief Judges David Levy and Richard Suarez of the Third District Court of Appeals.
