Jacksonville, FL — Nearly three months after a fatal crash in the Sans Souci area of Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has now announced an arrest.

Donald Gibson, 62, is facing several charges, including two counts of DUI-manslaughter, DUI- causing serious bodily injury, and four counts of DUI- causing damage to person or property.

According to the affidavit for arrest warrant obtained by WOKV, investigators believe Gibson ran a red light at the intersection of University Boulevard and Kennerly Road and crashed into a van on June 11th.

JSO investigators say that van was carrying six special needs passengers at the time-- two of whom later died from injuries sustained in this crash. One of the other passengers has had to have surgery to repair both her large and small intestines, but has permanent damage to those organs.

The remaining three passengers and the driver only suffered minor injuries.

The affidavit for arrest warrant says an officer described Gibson as having the odor of alcohol on him at the hospital. The document says later FDLE analysis from Gibson's blood, shows he had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.287 grams of ethyl alcohol, per 100 mL of blood. That’s more than 3-and-a-half times the legal limit of 0.08.  That analysis by the FDLE also found marijuana in Gibson's system.

Based on all of the charges, Gibson's bond has now been set at just over $185,000.
