Jacksonville, FL — Investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office are trying to piece together what led to the death of a woman on the Westside.
Around midnight, police responded to a call about someone possibly being shot at home on Beaverbrook which is just off McDuff Avenue. When JSO arrived, they found the woman with multiple injuries. She was pronounced dead on scene by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue.

JSO did not release much information about the woman during the overnight hours. They only said she is black and is between 50-60 years old.
The Sheriff’s Office also did not release any type of suspect description or say if they are even looking for a suspect. JSO is asking with anyone with information to give them a call at 904.630.0500 or Crime Stoppers at 1.866.845.TIPS.
