Homeowners are complaining to county leaders in St Johns County about beach erosion in Vilano beach.
They feel the problem is getting too close for comfort.
We've learned leaders in St Johns County have advanced funding for a study conducted by the U.S. army corps of engineers to research ways to reduce beach erosion.
Michael Ryan, a spokesman for St Johns County, says the county has paid its part of a two million dollar bill. He also says the county is working with federal and state agencies to preserve the beach and quality of life.
