Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is questioning two individuals after an apparent home burglary ended with the homeowner shooting the suspect.
According to JSO, their initial investigation has revealed that someone attempted to break into a home on Woodstock Avenue, not far from Edgewood Avenue, by entering through the sliding glass door. Police say the homeowner then shot this individual, after confronting him coming out of the house.
JSO tells us the suspect's injuries are non-life threatening, though, he was transported to the hospital. According to witnesses they've interviewed, police say it appears the homeowner and the suspect may know each other. However, police say they will be increasing their presence and patrols in that area.
At this time, police have not identified either the suspect or the homeowner.
