DENVER — Travis Hunter was flagged for pass interference inside the 10-yard line and Denver ran in for a late touchdown to get a win over the Jaguars, 20-13.
Hunter’s flag on Denver WR Courtland Sutton with 7:24 to play preceded a penalty by Coach Liam Coen for protesting - and set up the winning score.
After the pair of late penalties, Broncos RB Jonah Coleman carried the ball into the end zone from the 3-yard line.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw an interception early in the fourth quarter. Afterward, Denver QB Bo Nix hit TE Nate Adkins for a 7-yard TD pass to knot the score, 13-13.
Lawrence followed by leading a drive past midfield but K Cam Little missed a 54-yard field goal attempt.
In the first half, Lawrence and Nix traded a pair of long, score-setting passes. Lawrence’s led to a Jaguars touchdown on a 1-yard run by Bhayshul Tuten and Denver had to settle for a Wil Lutz FG as the half ended 10-3.
