Jacksonville, FL — A man has been arrested for the fatal shooting of a Jacksonville woman over the weekend.
38-year-old Danica Odoms was shot multiple times off W 13th Street and Janette Street on Saturday. JSO now confirms Javarius Jackson has been arrested- police say he and Odoms had an argument over money, that escalated in to a shooting. JSO says Jackson has been interviewed by investigators, but has not admitted to the murder.
This shooting happened around a mile away from where another person was found fatally shot, soon after police were called to the scene where Odoms was located. The victim in that Stuart Street shooting has been identified as 22-year-old Khalil Boatright. JSO says, at this time, they do not believe the two cases are connected.
