The ShotSpotter system hears the gunshots and records the audio for JSO, then sends the audio straight to patrol officers

Officers responded and found a male in his 20′s with 5 gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A house was struck with gunfire; but thankfully no one else was injured.

Preliminary information indicates there is no suspected gang involvement, specifically it is a dispute over a possible civil matter between known associates which makes this an isolated incident.

Search Warrants are still being created and the investigation is still ongoing. As of right now, JSO has recovered two rifles, a handgun, and multiple shell cases related to this incident.
