Jacksonville — Police are investigating a shooting in a normally quiet neighborhood in Atlantic Beach. Police say someone opened fire into the side of a home around 4:15 this morning on Violet Street.
On Monday morning at approx 4:15 AM numerous shots were fired into residence in the 1300 blk of Violet St. One adult male received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. There is no suspect information/vehicle description. We are asking that anyone with information call 247 5859

Several people were inside at the time, including a man who was shot. It's not clear if the person who fired the shots was on foot or in a car. Police are asking anyone who has surveillance video to review it and call police.
