Jacksonville, FL — One man is dead, and a teenager and child are injured following a head-on crash on the Wonderwood Bridge near Mayport.
Jacksonville Police say several calls came in to 911 around 12:55am after two cars crashed into each other in the westbound lanes.
Officers say one of the cars was engulfed in flames, and three people had to be pulled from the cars.
Preliminary information indicates that a car was going eastbound in the westbound lanes of the bridge. Police were talking to a person who witnessed the crash.
One man died at the hospital. A teenage driver and a 10-year-old were taken to the hospital with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.
