Police Say There is no Danger to the Public as they Search for Shooter on the Northwest Side

Early this morning just before 3 A.M. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Officers responded to a person shot at a gas station on the northwest side, 5292 Soutel Dr. Upon arrival Officers located an adult black male with one gunshot wound to the lower abdomen. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say there is some kind of relationship between the shooter and the victim. They don’t know what lead to the shooting and they haven’t offered a description of the gunman. JSO says there no threat to the public.

The initial investigation has revealed a dispute occurred in the parking lot of the incident location when the victim was shot by an unknown suspect.
