Some areas of Clay County may see delay in yard waste pick-up due to high springtime volumes

Jacksonville, FL — Some Clay County families may see a delay in the pick-up of yard waste over the next week or two.

The county says the season for spring yard work has arrived and that collection crews have seen a dramatic increase recently in the amount of yard waste placed on the curb. This means that collection of yard waste may take longer than normal, as collection crews may need to make extra trips to the Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility.

For unincorporated areas of Clay County and the City of Keystone Heights, pick-up may be delayed by up to one day.

All yard waste placed curbside for Friday collection will be collected by the end of the day on Saturday, according to the county. If volume remains high, this could be the case next week as well.
