Action News Jax spoke with his son Wilbens Nonord who says he is happy to hear this news.

“The last three days have been the most horrifying three days. Unfortunately, he left the house, and didn’t take any of the stuff that he normally takes with him like his wallet and his watch,“ says Wilbens Nonord.

Nonord says this isn’t the first time his father has gone missing, but typically the family could find him within 20 minutes, not three days later.

“Extremely nervous and extremely worried. Especially the area where he lives at there is a lot of bushes in the back, and also ponds,” says Nonord.

After days of searching, JSO says Germilus Nonord was found in a wooded area a half-mile from where he was last seen. The family says the 78-year-old is dehydrated and being checked out by doctors, but is expected to be okay.

As temperatures are set to drop this weekend, Nonord says it was critical his dad was found.

“The cold weather would’ve gotten to him at some point. Especially during the days that he wasn’t eating, so I was very nervous about that,” says Nonord.

Nonord has a message for JSO.
