6 students, 1 adult taken to hospital after charter bus crash during Crookshank Elementary School field trip

Jacksonville, FL — Thankfully, it appears there were no serious injuries, but several people were taken to the hospital as a precaution during a St. Johns County Schools' field trip.

We've confirmed with the district, that a charter bus carrying 3rd grade students from Crookshank Elementary School in St. Augustine was involved in an accident on the University of Florida campus on Thursday.

We're told the students were taking a field trip to the UF campus, when the bus apparently hit an awning.

Despite the accident, a spokesperson tells us the field trip went on as planned, with alternative transportation.
