JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Downtown Vision Inc. launched a new digital program to help support Downtown businesses that are facing trouble because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The new program is called #DTJax e-Gift Card, an e-gift card that can be used at 26 Downtown businesses. They can be purchased for any amount between $5 and $250. Downtown Vision Inc is offering a promotion that will give you an extra $5 for every $25 you buy.
Katherine Hardwick, Vice President of Marketing of Downtown Vision Inc. says they have seen 55 percent less than business.
“And so we thought, you know, what can we do to support our local businesses and found this program. It’s done in other cities. And we thought it would be a perfect fit for us. So we created the gift card as a mechanism to really support these businesses,” Hardwick said. “People can go online and purchase them. The information comes to your e-mail. And you can either keep it there or print it out if you like paper and want to carry it around.”
