Jacksonville, FL — After a handcuffed man surfaces in Northwest Jacksonville, saying he had been kidnapped in Tampa, we’re learning more about that initial incident.

Tampa Police say a person staying at the Sheraton Suites on W Cypress Street was woken up around 1AM Tuesday by noise in the parking lot. Police say that witness reported hearing someone yell “No! Stop!”, seeing someone violently swinging his arm in the open space of a sliding van door, and then that man getting in to the van, which drove off. The screaming appeared to be from inside of the van, according to the witness.

Investigators say the van was gone when they got to the scene, but they did find blood spatters.

Their possible abduction investigation has now led to Jacksonville, where JSO recovered a man Tuesday night who reported having been kidnapped in Tampa. He's believed to have been held in the Ice Lounge in Northwest Jacksonville, according to JSO. That victim was in handcuffs and had injuries to his face and other parts of his body, but those are not life threatening, according to police.

JSO has executed a search warrant on the Ice Lounge, but nobody was inside at that time.

Both agencies are working together to investigate this case.
