Jacksonville, FL — Two teenagers were shot, and one died, in a neighborhood off Kings Road near Edward Waters College late Monday. It was one of three shootings over a period of a few hours and, in all three events, no arrests were made.
Around 8 pm, JSO was called to 1900 Kings Road and found two teenage shooting victims. Both were taken to a local hospital where one died, and the other was in critical condition. Officers at the scene say the victims fled the area in different directions, and it was unclear if the two knew each other. Police say a gun was recovered at the scene.
At 10:45 pm, JSO responded to a shooting on Tall Pine Lane in the Arlington area. One adult male victim was found with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. JSO said they had received 911 calls about the shooting.
Then around 11:30 pm, JSO responded to Oprey Street in the Moncrief area to reports of a person shot. They describe the victim as a juvenile, however stopped short of identifying the person of giving their age. The victim was being treated at a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with information about these shootings is urged to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at (904) 630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
