JACKSONVILLE, Fl. — Our First Alert Weather team is continuing to track the local nor’easter that is causing a number of event cancellations, postponements, and delays for the weekend.
The following events have been canceled completely and/or rescheduled for Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7:
- NEW: Jacksonville’s PorchFest in Springfield on Saturday has been canceled. In a statement, organizers said, “Stay tuned for updates later today, we’re working on a creative celebration for TONIGHT & TOMORROW!”
- The City of Jacksonville says the Junior Ranger Ethical Angling Family Day scheduled for Saturday at Hanna Park has been canceled.
- The Jacksonville Fair says it will close early on Friday due to the weather, and organizers hope to open on time for Saturday at noon.
- Neptune Beach drive-thru COVID testing site has been closed for Friday, November 5 and will re-open Monday (11/8) at 7a.m.
- Walk To End Alzheimer’s scheduled for Saturday, November 6, has been rescheduled for December 4. Find more information in our story here.
- St. Augustine Walk To Defeat ALS® scheduled for Saturday, November 6 has been canceled. Find more information in our story here.
- The Right Whale Festival has been canceled for Saturday, November 6. The event will take place on Sunday with an additional hour added in the evening. Find more information in our story here.
- The 13th annual Right Whale Beach Clean Up in Jacksonville Beach has been postponed. A new rescheduled date has not yet been announced.
- Wounded Warrior Project’s Jacksonville Carry Forward® 5k scheduled for Saturday, November 6 has been canceled.
- The Royal Palm Village Wine & Tapas 10th Anniversary Wine Festival benefitting the Child Cancer Fund has been canceled. In a statement organizers said, “I wish I had a date to postpone, however with the timing of holidays it doesn’t seem feasible. We will certainly be planning another great event in 2022!” Those who purchased tickets will be issued a refund.
- Timucuan Preserve’s Junior Ranger Ethical Angling Day has been cancelled for Saturday. A rescheduled date has not yet been announced.
