Winn-Dixie opened a new store on State Road 100 in Keystone Heights on Saturday, unveiling a modern, full-service store featuring self-checkout aisles, deli, bakery, produce and meat departments.
The company celebrated the opening with its customers by bringing in a DJ, and offering product samplings, giveaways and kids activities.
It planned to give the first 100 customers in line when the doors open at 8 a.m. w a Winn-Dixie mystery gift card valued between $10 and $100. Prizes were to be raffled each hour.

A news release from the company said: “The opening reflects Winn-Dixie’s continued investment in its home state of Florida and will bring a fresh, modern shopping experience, convenient meal solutions and everyday value to Keystone Heights and surrounding communities.”
The new Keystone Heights Winn-Dixie store will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
