JSO: Woman in wheelchair arrested after robbing Downtown Jacksonville bank

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: 2/23

39-year-old Kenyeitta Gordon was arrested Monday on felony charges of strong arm robbery. According to the police report, Gordon entered the bank and approaches the teller counter. The report states that during an argument over her account, Gordon start to yell profanities at the teller and demanded money. She left in her motorized wheelchair.

Gordon was later found off 1st Street West with a crack pipe. She is also facing charges with possessing drug paraphernalia.

The report shows that she stole $100 from the bank.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman in an electric wheelchair who robbed a bank in Downtown Jacksonville Monday morning.

Police describe her as a black woman, around the age of 39, with short blonde hair, a silver/black mask, a black sweatshirt, a red blanket over her legs, and a red purse.

The woman went into Regions Bank around 11:50 a.m. where she asked the teller about her account, according to police. The teller reports that they got into an argument and the woman states that she is robbing the bank and starts to make demands and threats. The teller gave her the money in cash, and the woman in the electric wheelchair left.

Police did note that no weapon was seen on the woman. Four tellers and two other people were inside the bank at the time. No one was injured.

The woman was last seen going north on Laura Street. JSO currently has crews looking for her.
