ST. PAUL, Minn. — A Minnesota man has been found guilty after authorities said he raped his girlfriend’s twin daughters and infected the girls with gonorrhea.
According to the Pioneer Press, Arturo Macarro Gutierrez's conviction on multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct came Tuesday, 15 months after one of the victims, who were both 4 years old, accused the 36-year-old St. Paul man of hurting her. Authorities arrested him after he and the girl tested positive for gonorrhea, the newspaper reported.
After doctors found that the girl’s sister also had gonorrhea, Gutierrez was charged with sexually assaulting her, as well, authorities said.
Gutierrez will be sentenced in April, the Pioneer Press reported.
