Shooting outside Arlington apartment complex under investigation

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff deputies found a man in his 20s suffering from gunshot wounds outside Arlington Park Apartments Thursday night.

He was transported to the hospital with serious injures.

Upon further investigation, police say they believe the shooting was done on purpose after a robbery or an argument over a bag.

The victim’s friend was outside when shots were fired around 7:45 that night. Right now, they are the only potential witness, according to JSO.

No suspects have been detained, but police say there is no threat to the community.
