Learner announced it is hiring someone for the “Post-High School SAT Challenge,” and invited people to apply if they think they can beat a 1060 score.

“We’re looking for someone that loves a challenge! Anyone that thinks they can take the SAT and beat the national average is who we want to hire. Our ideal candidate doesn’t need any special qualifications, just a confident ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to spend three hours taking a test,” Learner said on its website.

The average SAT score in 2021 was 1060, up 9 points from 2020, The College Board, the organization that administers the exam, said in a news release. A total of 1.5 million students took the SAT in 2021, down from 2.2 million in 2020.

Because Learner does not have the authority to administer an official SAT exam, the company said it will be asking the candidate to take a multiple-choice practice exam, and no essay portion will be required.

The test will be timed, and limited to 3 hours and 15 minutes, with breaks included, which makes the total pay add up to more than $300 per hour, the company noted. The test does not need to be taken in a classroom.

The company is accepting applications until June 6 at 5 p.m. EST.
