Lucia Viti is a seasoned journalist, photojournalist, and published author, sporting a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from the University of West Virginia, Ms. Viti spent her early years in New York working in the fields of public relations, advertising, and medical communications. Her love for outdoor sports and fitness landed her in San Diego in 2000 where she segued into news and feature reporting. Ms. Viti also embarked on her "labor of love project" - the writing of her first book, "Dr. Tom's War - A Daughter's Journey." The narrative memoir shares the stories of the brave members of the military who worked alongside her father, a Naval Surgeon, during the Vietnam War in the Republic of South Vietnam. The book was featured in Camp Pendleton's Historical Museum. Residing in St. Augustine, Ms. Viti can be found photographing the delights of North Florida. Lucia's photographs are sold online, locally in artisan shops throughout St. Augustine as well as San Diego. Ms. Viti was named the 2021 Writer of the Year by the Florida Broadcast Association.
