Stephanie Bennett joined Action News Jax in November 2020. She’s lived in the Pacific Northwest, the desert Southwest, and is excited to now try out Northeast Florida!
Steph graduated from New Mexico State University (Go Aggies!) in 2016 with a double major in Journalism and French. She’s thrilled to be in Jax and can’t wait to connect with the community.
Steph cut her teeth in Odessa, Texas, at the CBS affiliate where she reported on tornadoes, a high profile murder case that made national news, and the oil industry.
Her next stop was at the ABC affiliate in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she reported on the historic Arkansas River Flood, state legislation, and education policy.
Steph loves animals and is passionate about advocating for society’s most vulnerable members -- she volunteers as a court-appointed special advocate in New Mexico and here in Florida.
When she’s not chasing someone down for a story, Steph enjoys trying new sushi spots and exploring all the outdoor activities Florida has to offer.
If you would like to send Steph a story idea or say hello, feel free to email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
