Hunger Games heroine Jennifer Lawrence is turning 31 August 15. In honor of the actor’s birthday, here is a breakdown of some of Lawrence’s best roles to date.
1. Ree Dolly in Winter’s Bone

Back in 2010, Jennifer Lawrence stared in Winter’s Bone, a film adapted from a novel of the same name. Lawrence’s performance as Ree Dolly, a teenager tasked with finding her father in the Ozarks of Mississippi, earned the actor an Oscar nomination.
2. Tiffany Maxwell in Silver Linings Playbook

In one of her first major hits, Jennifer Lawrence plays the role of Tiffany Maxwell in the iconic Silver Linings Playbook. Lawrence’s character is paired with Pat, as played by Bradley Cooper, in this romantic dramedy that earned Lawrence an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
3. Mystique in X-Men: Days of Future Past

In American Hustle, a film based on a 1970s FBI sting operation, Lawrence plays the wife of a blackmailed con artist played by Christian Bale. The role earned Jennifer Lawrence a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.

As reported by Deadline, a prequal to the Hunger Games trilogy is set to begin production in 2022.
