The emails claiming to be from the extremist group contain personal information and direct the recipient how to vote, or there will be consequences, the Sheriff’s Office said.

According to Florida Today, the emails appear to follow a similar format and come from the email address info@officialproudboys.com.

The Alachua County Supervisor of Elections said it is also looking into the emails, releasing a statement that says in part:

“We are in contact with and working in conjunction with our law enforcement partners at the local, state and federal level, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Homeland Security. The Florida Department of State’s Division of Elections has been notified as well.”
