The attorney for the security guard who was allegedly punched by MJD says the incident is more than unfortunate.
"To me it's more than an unfortunate event, my client got smashed in the face."
Patrick Canan, attorney for Kasim Howard, the bouncer who claims Jones Drew sucker-punched him says he's happy MJD finally spoke out.
"It's nice to have at least some statement. There's apparently at least some remorse there."
At a press conference Monday, Maurice Jones-Drew called the incident "unfortunate" and says he's disappointed at how it has affected his family and his teammates. Jones Drew says, however, he does not regret going out and having a good time.
Canan says the investigation is now in the hands of the state attorney's office.
Maurice Jones Drew has not been charged with any crime in relation to this incident.
