Jacksonville, Fl — Saying the safety of visitors, participants and the community is the highest priority, the 2020 Greater Jacksonville Fair has been canceled.
President and CEO Bill Olson says that after much discussion and debate with the Fair board and stakeholders, it became clear that cancellation was the prudent choice.
“The impact of the fair’s cancellation will be felt far beyond the loss of our annual celebration”, said Olson.
The Jacksonville Fair is set to return November 4 -14, 2021.
“Until then, stay safe, be well and support each other. We’ll miss you”, Olson said.
The Fair say it is dedicated to using its facilities and resources to support and serve the community, including a food distribution event before Thanksgiving.
The Fair has been in Jacksonville since 1955.
The health & safety of our guests, participants and community is our highest priority. Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation and its impact on community health and well-being, we've made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the 2020 #JaxFair.
