River City Pride spans from September 28 to October 8, welcoming everyone to participate in the largest community pride celebration in the city.

The grand finale of this vibrant 10-day celebration is the JaxRCPride Parade, scheduled for Sunday, October 8. This parade, covering a 1.5-mile route through the Historic Willow Branch Park, holds special historical significance as it was the site of the first Jacksonville LGBT Pride Picnic back in 1978.

Mayor Donna Deegan, an advocate for inclusivity and diversity, will grace the event as the parade’s grand marshal. The celebration will culminate in the bustling 5 Points business district, offering an ideal location to witness and immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere.

The festivities don’t end with the parade! Directly following the parade’s conclusion, the lively pride parade after-party will kick off at the Park Place Lounge, located at 931 King Street.

It’s worth noting that this celebration isn’t just for adults; it’s a family-friendly festival. On Saturday, October 7, a colorful cabaret and festival drew an impressive crowd of over 10,000 visitors, all coming together to celebrate and embrace the spirit of Pride. Don’t miss out on this remarkable event that fosters love, acceptance, and community unity.
