4-year-old in critical condition after drowning

JACKOSNVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax has been informed by a neighbor that a 4-year-old is in critical condition following a near-drowning in the Red Bay Apartments community pool.

Neighbors tell us the child was found inside the pool, which is typically always closed. The pool is shut down and fenced.

A hole in the fence around the perimeter of the pool can be seen which neighbors claim was how the child was able to get in.

JFRD has confirmed that one child has been transported to a local hospital in critical condition at the address.
