6 displaced by fire in Arlington

Jacksonville, Fl — The Red Cross is helping a family of six find a place to stay after fire destroyed their home.

JFRD says the fire on Aletha Drive in Arlington was heavy when they first arrived.

No one was hurt and the fire marshal was beginning an investigation into how it started.

NEW VIDEO: This was sent to me by the homeowner. Time stamp is 5:55 AM. The fire originally broke out *around* 2 AM. It was out for about 3 hours before rekindling.

JFRD reports the Red Cross was called in to assist 5 adults and a child. Friend of the family showed me some of the fire damage on the side of the home— it’s hard to tell from the outside, but he says the home isn’t live-able. Details on @ActionNewsJax CBS47/FOX30 https://t.co/bGWxl71dRS

We left the scene around 5 AM and didn’t notice any smoke or issues; family outside talking with us.
