A Neptune Beach detective and three others were arrested in 3 separate counties on charges of providing illegal slot machines to two Keystone Heights bars.
Camille Burban works for the Neptune Beach Police Department. She turned herself in to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on Monday. Police in Clay county arrested James McConothea and Rebecca Schroeder. George McCombs turned himself in to the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.
A four month investigation by the Clay County Sheriff's Office showed that machines from a vending company at the two bars were being used illegally as slot machines.
In late September Clay county detectives making a traffic stop on a van owned by Number One Vending. Detectives found several slot machines and money inside.
Investigators say George McCombs owns Number One Vending and that he was in a romantic relationship with Colleen Burban.
Burban was cited as being an instrumental figure in drafting an ordinance that regulated electronic games and adult arcades.
