A Neptune Beach detective and three others were arrested in 3 separate counties on charges of providing illegal slot machines to two Keystone Heights bars.
Camille Burban works for the Neptune Beach Police Department. Â She turned herself in to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on Monday. Â Police in Clay county arrested James McConothea and Rebecca Schroeder. Â George McCombs turned himself in to the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.
A four month investigation by the Clay County Sheriff's Office showed that machines from a vending company at the two bars were being used illegally as slot machines.
In late September Clay county detectives making a traffic stop on a van owned by Number One Vending. Â Detectives found several slot machines and money inside.
Investigators say George McCombs owns Number One Vending and that he was in a romantic relationship with Colleen Burban.
Burban was cited as being an instrumental figure in drafting an ordinance that regulated electronic games and adult arcades.
